Initial Ideation

My creative process began with drawing 50+ Thumbnail sketches. We knew we wanted a 6x6 system with strong off-roading and overlanding capabilities. The sketches attempts to imagine as many of those possibilities.

CAD Ideation

Much of the prototyping started with creating simple geometric forms that resembled a truck in Rhino 3D. We placed these forms on generic 6x6 Chassis to check for clearence and proportions.

Functional Model

Once we agreed on a final design, we made a layout of all the individual panels and had them laser cut by Bud Saggal over at Precision Lasers Providence. The body comprises of 16 guage steel plate, the frame is 14 gauge aluminum, and the chassis is modified from the Maxxis RC 6x6 AMG Wagon.
